I know that the term "must-read" is overused but, in this case, it definitely applies. I received a copy of the book as a gift from Construction with Heart at the Florida Sterling Conference. I read the back cover and I knew that I had to read this book. I made time in between sessions and read by the pool at the end of the day. As I told Malcolm, in his discussion of Not-Now Fever, I fit into two of the procrastinator descriptions. At least, I used to, before I became a Brink Thinker and began to accept my self-worth and the power that I had inside me. I recommend reading Smash the Competition so that you can Reverse your Expectations and Win! Take it from me, winning feels so much better than not trying, not believing, not being a brink thinker, and not taking control of your life. The focus must be on alternative energies. We must get serious on clean energy in this country. Until then the oil companies, controlled by greedy executives are in command. The clean-up is an entirely other subject. You simply cannot have everyone running around with the "measure of the day" fix! We are seeing a constant stream of ideas and from what I understand they are reviewing each and everyone of them. Of course I wouldn't hold my breath. I have passed on your email address to my wife to followup with you to see if there is something that you can do. I am very appreciative that you took the time to reach out. It would be great however if the airlines - including Southwest - would learn the benefits of proper brand building, service their customers with the highest degree of excellence and took their hands off our wallets. The traveler mentioned SWA wanted to charge more for the earlier ticket. Not all seats are priced the same and therefore when a ticket is changed there may in fact be an increase in the ticket price. That being said, in the above note there appears to be extenuating circumstances. If you would please pass along my email address to the traveler, I will determine if due to the medical situation a refund or travel voucher could be issued.
